Martin Cakebread

Martin joined Osborne Clewett Partnership in November 1993 having begun his career five years earlier as a quantity surveyor at William Randall Construction Ltd in Nuneaton. Following the merger of The Angus Elliot Partnership and Osborne Clewett Partnership in 2006, Martin was appointed as director of Osbornes (Quantity Surveyors) Ltd.

Martin is a chartered quantity surveyor and has specific experience in all aspects of cost management, project management and contract administration under traditional and design and build contracts. Martin’s market sector experience includes healthcare, education, civic/public buildings, industrial, sports and leisure, residential and commercial offices.

Carl Matthews

Carl joined Osbornes as a Director in October 2011.

Carl is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and a Member of the Association of Project Management, with experience acting as Project Manager, Employer’s Agent, Tenant Representative and Quantity Surveyor across many Sectors, including Retail and Leisure, Commercial, Distribution, Education and Healthcare.

Carl continues to provide Project Management and Tenant Representative duties supporting the Property and Programme Management Teams at Marks and Spencer with their modernisation, expansion and property rationalisation programmes. A role which Carl has been undertaking since 2005.

Debra Suffolk

Debra is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with almost 30 years’ experience and has been employed by Osbornes (formerly The Angus Eliot Partnership Ltd) since 1997, becoming a director in 2000.

She has experience in a wide variety of sectors but, since starting her career at Wilson Large and Partners in Coventry, has developed a specialist interest in the healthcare sector having been involved with a multitude of healthcare schemes from small refurbishment works at local hospitals to major PFI developments and private healthcare developments. Her major cost consultancy roles include Phase 2 of Stafford DGH, the £330m PFI at Derby City General Hospital, Emergency Capacity and Maternity Reviews at University Hospitals of Leicester, the new Community Facility at Derbyshire Royal Infirmary, St Michaels Hospice, Hereford and numerous business cases for major healthcare capital developments.

Alan Knight

Alan joined Osbornes as a Director in October 2011, having attained the same position at Davis Langdon during the previous 12 years.

Alan is both a chartered quantity surveyor and a chartered builder and has specific experience in all aspects of cost management, project management and contract administration under traditional and design and build contracts.

During his 38 years in the construction industry, Alan has built up considerable experience in all market sectors, but has particular expertise in Residential, Extracare Facilities, Sports and Leisure, Hotels, Industrial Buildings , Commercial Offices and Retail Developments.
